Tel Aviv (Monitoring Desk): Israeli opposition leader Yair Golan has criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s policies, saying that Israeli soldiers are paying the price for the government’s decisions.
According to media reports, Democratic Party leader Yair Golan said in a statement posted on the social media platform X that Netanyahu’s policies, including granting exemptions from military service to ultra-Orthodox Jews, are placing an additional burden on Israeli soldiers.
He alleged that the government of Netanyahu, Bezalel Smotrich, and Ben-Gvir is not providing adequate protection to Israeli soldiers deployed in the occupied West Bank.
Yair Golan said that he is entering the political arena to replace Netanyahu’s government in the upcoming elections.
In another statement, he warned that the current government policies are further worsening the situation in the occupied West Bank, which could become a major threat to Israel’s security.
