New York (Web Desk): Video-sharing platform YouTube has introduced custom thumbnail support for Shorts videos, fulfilling a long-standing demand of content creators.
According to media reports, under the new feature, creators enrolled in the YouTube Partner Program will now be able to upload their preferred images as thumbnails for their Shorts videos.
Previously, users were only allowed to select a frame from the video as a thumbnail, making it difficult to maintain a unique style and branding.
Through the new feature, creators will be able to use attractive and professional thumbnails according to their preferences, helping improve the presentation of Shorts videos and attract viewers’ attention.
According to YouTube, the custom thumbnail feature was among the most requested features by users.
The company said that initially, this facility is being provided to YouTube Partner Program users, while it will be expanded to more creators in the future.
