New York (Web Desk) — YouTube has begun offering major financial packages to prevent its most popular content creators from moving to Netflix and to keep exclusive content on its platform.
According to a report, YouTube plans to directly fund specific programs for creators and give them a share of revenue from major commercial partnerships.
YouTube has warned some creators that those who offer content or live broadcasts on Netflix could be excluded from the company’s marketing campaigns.
Meanwhile, Netflix is also seeking rights to popular YouTube content to attract younger viewers, intensifying competition between the two platforms.
