New York (Web Desk) RC aircraft enthusiast and popular YouTuber Remy RC has unveiled his most impressive and surprising creation yet, an 1/8 scale RC model of the Airbus A380.
This gigantic model was carved from a large foam block and later reinforced with fiberglass and carbon fiber. Four powerful motors were installed under the wings, enabling the nearly 800-pound model to achieve flight capability.
In his video series, Remy RC explained that the biggest challenge in this project was controlling the increasing weight of the aircraft. To address this, extremely lightweight yet strong materials were used, but several rounds of testing and experimentation were required to achieve success.
Interestingly, the model is so large that a person can comfortably lie inside it, highlighting its extraordinary scale.
Although the full speed of the model has not been disclosed, it is astonishing that the aircraft is capable of taking off and landing from a runway with fully functional, controlled landing gear, just like real aircraft.
This creation is being regarded as a unique example of the combination of engineering and passion, attracting attention from RC and aviation enthusiasts around the world.
