MUMBAI (Showbiz Desk): Renowned Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has shared his views on retirement, making it clear that he has no plans to step away from the film industry anytime soon.
Speaking in an interview about filmmaking and retirement, Amitabh said the idea of becoming a director had never crossed his mind because he did not consider himself sufficiently skilled in that field.
According to the actor, other creative professionals present him with different challenges, which he accepts, but he has never tried to think beyond that.
Responding to a question about retirement, Amitabh asked why he should even consider quitting work and why people were so eager to see him retire.
He added that he had come back from the brink of death and had been given another chance at life. He believes that some higher power has continued to protect him throughout these years.
Amitabh Bachchan began his film career in 1969 with Saat Hindustani, while the 1973 film Zanjeer brought him extraordinary fame.
