LAHORE (Sports Desk): West Indies cricket captain Shai Hope has made an amusing remark about collecting multiple Player of the Match awards following his consistent performances against India.
Hope has been in outstanding form in white-ball cricket during the West Indies’ tour of India. After scoring two centuries in the One-Day International (ODI) series, he has also hit two centuries in the T20 series.
The West Indies captain has so far won the Player of the Match award three times in the white-ball series against India.
Speaking about his awards, Hope joked that they were quite heavy and that the team would have to keep an eye on the weight of their luggage. He added that they might face some difficulties when travelling back home.
It is worth mentioning that India won the three-match ODI series 2-1, while the five-match T20 series between the two teams is level at 2-2. The final and deciding match of the series is scheduled for Saturday.
