Ayesha Omar Calls Karachi Residents Medal-Worthy

Karachi (Showbiz Desk): Pakistani actress Ayesha Omar has described citizens living in Karachi as deserving of medals for facing the difficulties of daily life in the city.

According to the Global Liveability Index 2026 released by the British research organization Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), Karachi has been ranked among the world's least livable cities and placed as the fourth least livable city for living.

Ayesha Omar shared a post based on the report on her Instagram story and expressed her views about the conditions in Karachi.

The actress wrote that she was not surprised by the report. According to her, people who live and survive in Karachi deserve medals for their struggle.

She said that citizens travel on poor and polluted roads, face hours of traffic jams, continue their lives despite limited availability of gas and electricity at home, and perform their duties while working hard amid fear of crime, constant pressure, and difficult circumstances.

Ayesha Omar further said that citizens pay all taxes and contribute to the country's economy, despite facing numerous problems in their daily lives.

It is worth mentioning that Ayesha Omar has previously expressed her views on social issues faced by Pakistan. Recently, she was also featured in a BBC report on global women, in which she urged technology companies and organizations developing artificial intelligence to seriously address the issue of online harassment through images.
