Bristol (Sports Desk) — England defeated India in the fourth T20I match as well to take an unassailable lead in the five-match series.
In the fourth T20I played in Bristol, India won the toss and decided to bat first, but apart from captain Shreyas Iyer, no other Indian batter could put up strong resistance against the English bowlers.
India managed to score 158 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Shreyas Iyer played a remarkable innings of 80 runs off 49 balls, while Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue took two wickets each for England.
In reply, England chased down the target of 159 runs in the 14th over, losing just one wicket. Phil Salt scored 59 runs, while captain Harry Brook played an aggressive unbeaten innings of 79 runs to guide his team to an easy victory.
With this win, England secured an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match T20I series. It should be noted that India had also suffered defeat in the third T20I match.
