France Defeat Morocco to Reach FIFA World Cup 2026 Semi-Final

Lahore (Sports Desk) — France defeated Morocco 0-2 in the first quarter-final of the FIFA Football World Cup 2026 to secure a place in the semi-final.

Thanks to outstanding performances from captain Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé, France defeated Morocco and became the first team to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-final.

From the beginning of the match, France maintained the upper hand. The French team launched several attacks in the first half, but the score remained level at 0-0 between both teams.

In the quarter-final played at Boston Stadium, France made several dangerous attacks on Morocco’s goal. France was awarded a penalty after Mbappé was brought down inside the box, but the Moroccan goalkeeper easily saved Mbappé’s shot.

France continued its attacking play in the second half and finally took the lead in the 60th minute when Kylian Mbappé scored a goal. Later, in the 66th minute, Ousmane Dembélé scored a brilliant goal to double France’s advantage.

In the 82nd minute, Morocco earned a free kick, which was expertly stopped by the French goalkeeper. Morocco also had another opportunity to score but failed to capitalize on it.

With this 0-2 victory, France secured a place in the FIFA World Cup semi-final for the third consecutive time.
