Ian Bishop Calls Maaz Sadaqat a 360-Degree Batter

Lahore (Sports Desk): Former West Indies cricketer Ian Bishop has praised Pakistan’s young batter Maaz Sadaqat for his aggressive batting against Sri Lanka, describing him as an excellent “360-degree batter.”

Maaz Sadaqat played a blistering innings of 96 runs off just 51 balls during the second T20 International match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. His innings included six fours and seven sixes, but he fell just four runs short of completing his maiden T20 International century.

In a post on the social media platform X, Ian Bishop praised the young Pakistani batter’s performance, writing that he had been delighted to see Maaz Sadaqat’s abilities while the youngster represented the Jamaica Kingsmen in the Caribbean Premier League 2026.

He further said that Maaz Sadaqat had maintained his excellent form for Pakistan as well and expressed his hopes for the young batter’s bright and successful future. Bishop concluded his post by describing him as a good “360-degree batter.”

It is worth noting that a “360-degree batter” is a player capable of playing shots in different styles and directions across various areas of the cricket ground.

Thanks to Maaz Sadaqat’s aggressive batting, Pakistan scored 215 runs for the loss of three wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Sahibzada Farhan also delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 73 runs off 44 balls, including four fours and five sixes.

In reply, the Sri Lankan team failed to last long against Pakistan’s bowlers and managed just 133 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Pakistan consequently won the match by 82 runs, securing an unassailable 2–0 lead in the three-match series.
