Lahore (Sports Desk) — The Indian cricket team’s tour of Bangladesh has once again been delayed; however, the cricket boards of both countries are looking for new dates to hold the series.
Bangladesh Cricket Board President Tamim Iqbal said that no decision has been made to cancel the series; rather, the Bangladesh Cricket Board and the Board of Control for Cricket in India are looking for a new window for their bilateral matches.
According to Tamim Iqbal, both boards are serious and committed to holding the series. He said that they still hope the series will take place, adding that if this were not the case, he would not have used such optimistic words.
It is pertinent to mention that the Indian cricket team was scheduled to tour Bangladesh in August and September, where the two teams were set to play three One-Day Internationals and three T20 matches.
The Indian team’s tour of Bangladesh was also postponed last year due to the political situation, while concerns over the staging of the series this year remained because of the current political relations between the two countries.
