Iran Claims Strikes on Targets in Four Gulf Countries

Tehran (Monitoring Desk) – Iran has announced the launch of an operation to target enemy bases in different countries through missiles and drones.

According to Iranian officials, several targets in Jordan, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain were hit during the operations.

Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior said sirens were activated due to the threat of attacks and advised citizens to remain calm and move to nearby safe locations.

The Kuwaiti military issued a statement saying its air defense system was confronting alleged hostile air attacks inside the country’s airspace. According to the military, the sounds of explosions were the result of air defense operations aimed at intercepting the attacks.

Iranian state media reported that fires broke out at fuel tanks and weapons storage facilities at Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan following the operations.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed that targeting the facility in Jordan was part of the first phase of retaliatory operations in response to US attacks on Iranian coastal bases, adding that further actions would continue.

According to the IRGC, its aerospace forces also targeted Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, where a helicopter surveillance facility, a P-8 aircraft in a hangar, and a US drone command center were among the targets.

Iranian state media further claimed that the IRGC targeted two air bases in Kuwait.

These claims come at a time when retaliatory actions between Iran and the United States in the region are intensifying.
