Lahore (Sports Desk): The World Taekwondo President’s Cup Asia Region 2026 competitions have concluded, with Iran finishing first in the Kyorugi category, Korea second and Kazakhstan third, while Pakistan dominated the Poomsae category.
In the senior Kyorugi competition featuring 16 weight categories at the Jinnah Sports Complex in Lahore Cantonment, Iran secured first place with seven gold, one silver and eight bronze medals. Korea finished second with five gold, four silver and six bronze medals, while Kazakhstan took third place with two gold and three bronze medals.
In the Poomsae category, Pakistan secured first place with three gold, three silver and nine bronze medals. Korea finished second and Iran third.
In Kyorugi, Uzbekistan finished fourth, Thailand fifth, Jordan sixth, Saudi Arabia seventh, Russia eighth and Pakistan ninth.
Para-Taekwondo competitions were also held on the final day of the event.
