Lahore (Sports Desk): Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has faced criticism from extremist Indian social media users after sharing a video of a dinner invitation at the Dubai residence of Afghan cricket star Rashid Khan.
Rashid Khan hosted Irfan Pathan and his brother, Yusuf Pathan, at his home, where the guests were served traditional Afghan dishes.
Irfan Pathan shared a video of the gathering on social media, praising the hospitality of Rashid Khan and his wife, Lelooma, as well as the food.
In his post, Pathan described it as an incredible Afghan feast, saying every dish had a unique taste. According to him, what made the gathering special was not just the food but also the hosts’ love and warmth.
Addressing Rashid Khan, the former Indian cricketer added that he was still thinking about the delicious meal.
The video quickly went viral on social media. However, following its circulation, extremist Indian users strongly criticized Irfan Pathan over the issue of eating beef.
