Dubai (Sports Desk) – England spinner Linsey Smith has become the new number one bowler in the ICC Women’s T20 International rankings, ahead of the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
With this achievement, she has overtaken Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal, who previously held the top position.
The 31-year-old Linsey Smith rose one spot in the rankings following impressive performances against New Zealand and India. She began her international career in 2018, but after being out of the England setup for nearly five years, she made a strong comeback to the national T20 side in late 2024.
Her standout performances in the New Zealand series, where she was named Player of the Series, along with her excellent bowling against India in the second T20 match in Bristol, helped her reach the highest ranking of her career.
