Mumbai (Showbiz Desk): Dr Shriram Nene, the husband of renowned Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, has revealed that he could not even recognize Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan at his wedding.
The 59-year-old Dr Shriram Nene is a cardiologist by profession and married Madhuri Dixit in 1999. Recently, filmmaker Farah Khan visited Madhuri's home, where their conversation revealed several interesting details.
During the discussion, Farah Khan asked Madhuri whether it was true that her husband did not know who she was at the time of their wedding.
Madhuri Dixit explained that her husband had only been told that she was a well-known actress who worked in films, but he had not fully understood the extent of her fame and popularity.
Farah Khan further expressed surprise that Dr Shriram Nene had also failed to recognize Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, who attended their wedding.
Dr Nene explained that he had not even known that such prominent personalities from the film industry would attend his wedding. During the ceremony, he continued welcoming guests, but when he looked at the photographs later, he could not identify most of the people.
According to him, Amitabh Bachchan was the only star he recognized because he had watched his film Amar Akbar Anthony.
It is worth noting that Madhuri Dixit and Dr Shriram Nene began their married life in the United States after getting married in 1999. The couple has two sons, Arin and Ryan.
