Philippines (Monitoring Desk) — At least 12 people have been killed and eight remain missing after floods and landslides caused by the combined effects of monsoon rains and Typhoon Dolphin in the Philippines.
According to Lawrence Mina, Assistant Secretary of the Office of Civil Defense, 11 people have also been injured in landslides. The deaths were caused by landslides, falling rocks, falling trees, electrocution, and drowning in floodwaters.
According to reports, approximately 586,000 people have been affected across nine regions and 33 provinces, while more than 32,800 people have been displaced.
Some of the displaced people have been moved to evacuation centers, while others are staying with relatives.
