Lahore (Sports Desk) Pakistan women’s cricket team player Najiha Alvi has been ruled out of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup due to an injury, while Sadaf Shams has been added to the squad in her place.
Najiha Alvi was declared unfit due to discomfort in her left knee. After an examination by the PCB medical panel, she has been advised to rest for three to four weeks.
According to the PCB, Najiha Alvi will undergo another medical examination after completing her rehabilitation program.
It is worth mentioning that the Women’s T20 Asia Cup will be played in Dubai from August 28 to September 13. Pakistan is in Group A alongside India, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
