According to President of the Pakistan Cycling Federation Syed Azhar Ali Shah, Natalia Khan was suffering from a kidney-related illness and could not recover after surgery, which led to a further deterioration in her condition. He stated that all members of the Pakistan Cycling Federation are deeply saddened by this tragic news and have expressed heartfelt grief, condolences, and sympathy with the bereaved family.
