Karachi (Showbiz Desk): Pakistani actors Faisal Qureshi and Hareem Farooq have expressed concern over an alleged paid campaign aimed at portraying their upcoming Punjabi film Mango Jatt negatively.
In a video posted on Instagram, Faisal Qureshi questioned why negative comments about the film begin appearing even before people have watched it.
The actor said serious critics share their opinions after watching a film, whereas an alleged paid campaign can result in a flood of negative comments as early as the following day.
He warned that such activities could cause further damage to Pakistan’s film industry, which is already facing difficulties.
Meanwhile, Hareem Farooq, the film’s producer and actress, shared several screenshots on social media that raised suspicions that some negative posts had been published in exchange for payment.
It is worth noting that the allegations of an organised, paid negative campaign against Mango Jatt have not been independently verified.
