Mumbai (Showbiz Desk): Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan will be unable to meet his fans in the traditional manner this year on the occasion of his 61st birthday.
According to Indian media, the actor will not attend his birthday celebration in Mumbai on November 2 because he is busy shooting for his upcoming film King. Reports say he will be in London on his birthday, where a song for the film is scheduled to be shot.
Every year on November 2, large numbers of Shah Rukh Khan’s fans gather outside his Mumbai residence, Mannat, hoping to catch a glimpse of their favourite actor.
Over the past two years, instead of greeting fans from his balcony, the actor organised special meet-and-greet events in Mumbai, giving fans an opportunity to talk to him, ask questions and spend time with him.
According to reports, a large event for fans was also considered this year. However, the plan did not move forward because of difficulties in arranging a suitably large venue and the actor’s busy filming schedule.
There is still some hope for fans, as Shah Rukh Khan’s team is reportedly considering organising a major meet-and-greet event with the actor before the release of King. However, the date, venue and other details have not yet been officially confirmed.
