Lahore (Sports Desk) — The Pakistan national hockey team departed from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport for the Netherlands and Belgium to participate in the Hockey World Cup.
The Hockey World Cup will be held in the Netherlands and Belgium from August 15 to 30, with Pakistan’s national team also taking part in the tournament.
Before the World Cup, the Pakistan Hockey Federation released foreign daily allowances worth Rs. 200 million to the players, with the amount transferred to their bank accounts.
According to the federation, all arrangements for the national team’s travel, accommodation, and meals have been completed. Other necessary arrangements for the players and coaches have also been finalized.
Pakistan Hockey Federation President Mohyuddin Wani said the welfare of players and coaches is the top priority, while all financial and administrative matters had also been completed before the team’s departure.
The national hockey team will enter the World Cup with the determination to deliver a strong performance and achieve success.
