Lahore (Sports Desk) — The hockey teams of Pakistan national field hockey team and India national field hockey team are set to face each other in London later this month.
According to details, matches between the two traditional rivals will be played on June 23 and June 26, with ticket sales already underway.
The Pakistani hockey team is currently training camp in Lahore to prepare for upcoming fixtures. As per the Pro Hockey League schedule, the national team will depart for Belgium on June 9.
During the tour, Pakistan will play against Belgium on June 13 and Spain on June 14, followed by additional matches against the same teams on June 19 and June 20.
The team will then travel from Belgium to London on June 21 for the next phase of matches. Pakistan will face India on June 23, England on June 24, again India on June 26, and England on June 27.
So far in the league, Pakistan’s performance has been disappointing, with the team losing all its matches and currently sitting at the bottom of the points table.
The Pro Hockey League rules state that the lowest-ranked team at the end of the season faces relegation, making Pakistan’s position a major challenge.
