Lahore (Sports Desk): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the revised schedule for PSL 11. According to the new plan, the eleventh edition will be played only in Lahore and Karachi without spectators, and the opening ceremony has also been cancelled.
During a press conference at Gaddafi Stadium, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi stated that the tournament will begin on March 26. However, as a cost-saving measure, the decision was made to host PSL in only two cities and without fans. He added that ticket refunds will be issued, and the PCB apologizes to fans.
Mohsin Naqvi further mentioned that, given the current regional situation, the Prime Minister had instructed cost-saving measures, and the new schedule will minimize player movement.
Under PSL 11, Lahore and Karachi will host 44 matches over 49 days, with 22 matches in each city. In the first phase, from March 26 to April 6, Lahore will host 14 matches. The second phase, from April 8 to April 19, will feature 15 matches in Karachi. From April 21 to 26, Lahore will host 5 matches and Karachi 6 matches.
The league’s qualifier will be held in Karachi on April 28, the first eliminator on April 29, the second eliminator on May 1 in Lahore, and the final will take place on May 3 in Lahore.
