New Delhi (Monitoring Desk): A series of repeated accidents involving Indian Air Force fighter aircraft has sparked concern and criticism at the international level.
According to India Today, an Indian Air Force aircraft AN-32 crashed in Jorhat district of Assam, where initial reports suggest that the aircraft caught fire after landing.
The Indian Air Force has also confirmed the incident. Sources indicate that in the current year alone, 11 Indian Air Force fighter aircraft and one helicopter have been involved in accidents.
Defense analysts say the repeated incidents are raising serious questions about the operational readiness and technical capability of the Indian Air Force, while also highlighting possible internal administrative and technical weaknesses.
Experts add that such frequent accidents are not only concerning for the defense system but may also affect its reputation at the global level.
