Riots in Paris after PSG victory, dozens arrested

Paris (Sports Desk) — Following Paris Saint-Germain’s victory in the Champions League, chaos was witnessed in the city during celebrations, leading to violent clashes between police and fans.

In various incidents, around 400 people were arrested, while seven police officers were also injured. During the unrest, bus stops were damaged and several motorcycles were set on fire.

Reports suggest that in some locations, protesters also threw fireworks at police officers. Thousands of police personnel were deployed across the city to control the situation; however, unrest could not be fully contained in some areas.

It is worth noting that PSG won the Champions League title by defeating Arsenal in the final. According to the French Interior Minister, despite strict security measures, incidents of disorder still occurred in some places, and similar disturbances have been seen in Paris after such victories in the past.
