London (Monitoring Desk) — Flight schedules in the UK were severely disrupted for the third consecutive day due to a malfunction in the air traffic services system, with another 3,500 flights affected.
According to airport data, the total number of flights affected over the three days has exceeded 12,000.
According to the flight schedule, a further 60 flights were canceled at London’s Heathrow Airport, while 729 were delayed. At Gatwick Airport, 17 flights were canceled and 529 were delayed, while five flights were canceled and 403 were delayed at Manchester Airport.
A total of 349 flights at Stansted Airport, 222 at Edinburgh, 193 at Birmingham and 127 at Bristol were affected.
Similarly, a further 124 flights at Glasgow, 87 at Belfast and 240 at Luton Airport were affected.
According to airport data, a total of 2,500 flights have been canceled and 9,500 delayed over the three days. Meanwhile, around two million passengers across the UK have been affected by the malfunction in air traffic services.
