Doha (Monitoring Desk): Technical-level negotiations between the United States and Iran have formally begun.
According to Arab media, experts from both countries are discussing various important issues; however, there is no plan for direct meetings between senior officials at this stage.
Sources say the purpose of these talks is to move forward the implementation mechanism of the recent memorandum of understanding and to achieve progress at the technical level.
Reports indicate that three separate working groups have been formed in Doha. The first group is reviewing Iran’s nuclear program and related technical matters, while the second group is considering diplomatic contacts and the future negotiation framework.
The third working group is dealing with Iran’s frozen financial assets abroad, the return of funds, and matters related to financial arrangements.
Sources say that currently no direct meeting between the top political leadership of both countries or foreign ministers has been scheduled.
According to political observers, these talks are part of the confidence-building process, and if progress is made at the technical level, it could pave the way for high-level negotiations in the future. Experts believe this dialogue may not only affect Iran-US relations but also regional security and global energy markets.
