Istanbul (Monitoring Desk): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called on the international community to immediately begin the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
Addressing the United Nations General Assembly, Erdogan said that the reconstruction of Gaza should begin without delay. He urged world leaders to exert maximum pressure on Israel.
He said that Gaza has suffered extensive destruction as a result of Israeli airstrikes. According to the report, 84 percent of the structures in the area had been destroyed by October 2025.
According to the report, Israeli airstrikes continued despite the U.S.-mediated ceasefire in October 2025, while restrictions have also been imposed on the entry of equipment needed for reconstruction into Gaza.
International non-governmental organizations say that these items are urgently needed for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Gaza.
