Major Progress in US-Iran Deal, Qatar Makes Significant Claim

Doha (Monitoring Desk): Qatar has claimed significant progress in its ongoing mediation efforts to resolve differences between the United States and Iran and reduce tensions in the region, expressing hope that an agreement between the two countries will be reached.

Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani has said that Doha is playing an active role in advancing diplomatic contacts between the two countries and preventing the situation from deteriorating further.

According to Al Jazeera television, the Qatari Prime Minister said that the US administration remained willing to seek a diplomatic solution to the conflict with Iran even after the midterm elections. Despite the election results, Washington's interest in reaching an agreement remains unchanged.

He stated that significant progress had already been made regarding a possible agreement between the United States and Iran, and expressed hope that ongoing diplomatic efforts would succeed in bringing the two countries to a final settlement.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said that Qatar had long been playing a role in maintaining communication and mediating between the United States and Iran. The main objective of recent diplomatic efforts is to reduce tensions and protect the region from a major confrontation.

However, the Qatari Prime Minister did not announce details or terms of the proposed agreement, nor did he specify any timeline for reaching a final understanding.
