Berlin (Monitoring Desk): Germany has praised Pakistan’s diplomatic and mediation efforts to resolve regional conflicts, particularly describing Pakistan’s role in addressing the situations in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb as important.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, the German Foreign Office said that Germany values Pakistan’s mediation efforts in regional conflicts, especially its diplomatic efforts regarding the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb.
According to the statement, the German and Pakistani foreign ministers discussed various global issues, including the regional situation, during their communication. Both sides also agreed on the need for a negotiating process to resolve the war in Ukraine.
The Strait of Hormuz is an important maritime route for global energy transportation, while Bab el-Mandeb is a key trade passage connecting the Gulf of Aden with the Red Sea. Tensions along these routes could affect global trade and energy supplies.
Germany’s appreciation of Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts comes at a time when contacts among various countries are continuing to reduce tensions in the region and seek diplomatic solutions to conflicts.
