New York (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that global cooperation should be promoted instead of allowing a few individuals to establish a monopoly over artificial intelligence.
In a statement, Ishaq Dar said further measures were needed regarding artificial intelligence and that it was necessary to prevent potential risks posed by the technology to humanity.
He said human control over artificial intelligence should be maintained, while effective regulations and a global framework should be developed for this purpose. Preventing fake news and cyberattacks is also an important challenge.
The deputy prime minister said AI safety measures should not be designed in a way that creates the impression that technology is being opposed. He added that the desired benefits would not be achieved if there was limited representation in artificial intelligence systems.
