Karachi (Commerce Desk): A significant decline in gold prices was recorded in the global and local bullion markets.
On Monday, the price of gold in the international bullion market fell by $24 per ounce, bringing the new global price to $4,406 per ounce.
The decline in the global market also affected Pakistan’s local bullion market, where on the first day of the business week, the price of gold per tola fell by Rs2,400 to Rs463,136.
Similarly, the price of gold per 10 grams decreased by Rs2,058, bringing it to Rs397,064.
Along with gold, silver prices also recorded a decline. In the local market, the price of silver per tola fell by Rs39 to Rs7,059, while the price of silver per 10 grams decreased by Rs34 to Rs6,051.
