Tehran (Monitoring Desk): Iran has made it clear that Washington must meet Iran’s conditions for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and progress in negotiations with the United States.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Iran’s position was clear and that the seriousness of the United States would be judged by the extent to which it complied with Iran’s conditions.
According to Araghchi, the prospects for progress in negotiations with the United States are slim, while Iran has no confidence in Washington’s claims regarding peace.
Meanwhile, Iranian Defence Minister Mehrdad Akhlaghi said that Iran was prepared to make every sacrifice rather than surrender its territory.
He said Iran was focused on targeting objectives using advanced technology. He added that potential threats would be answered not merely with statements, but through defensive preparedness and strength.
