Tehran (Monitoring Desk) — Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has sent a clear message to the United States, saying that Iran is ready for negotiations but will not accept the language of force.
Speaking to the media in New York, Masoud Pezeshkian said that Iran had not attacked any country but had acted in self-defense. He said that the United States accuses of terrorism anyone it wants to destroy.
The Iranian president said that Iran does not need anyone’s permission to defend itself, adding that it wants partnership for security in the region and also wants its neighboring countries to be strong.
Masoud Pezeshkian further said that after hearing US President Donald Trump’s threatening speech, he decided to respond and addressed the United Nations outside the prepared speech he had originally written.
