WASHINGTON (Monitoring Desk): According to US media, American forces have so far used two types of ballistic missiles in the war against Iran: Army Tactical Missile Systems and Precision Strike Missiles. These missiles have been used to strike Iranian ground installations from a distance.
According to the report, of the 1,000 Tomahawk cruise missiles the US had before the war, only 150 now remain.
The stocks of US Patriot and THAAD defense systems deployed in the Middle East to intercept Iranian missile and drone attacks have also declined significantly.
Before the war, the US had 452 THAAD missiles, of which 234 remain, while only 759 of the 2,330 Patriot missiles are still available.
Experts say producing these missile systems requires considerable time and substantial investment, meaning the current depletion could pose a significant challenge to US defense stockpiles.
