Tel Aviv (Monitoring Desk): Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has indicated that Tel Aviv could take independent action against Iran.
In an interview with Channel 7, Ben-Gvir said that it would be “naive” for the United States to believe that Iran would abandon its nuclear program.
He stated that the U.S. is disconnected from reality in its approach to the issue, and that expecting Iran to give up its nuclear ambitions or its alleged intentions against Israel is unrealistic.
According to Ben-Gvir, Israel has a responsibility to confront the Iranian threat and, if necessary, take action on its own.
The far-right Israeli minister further said that Israel cannot be bound by instructions from any allied country, no matter how important that country may be.
