Tehran (Monitoring Desk): A large-scale operation has been launched to evacuate around 11,000 sailors and hundreds of ships stranded in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the operation is being carried out with the cooperation of Iran, Oman, the United States, and other regional countries.
The organization stated that necessary security guarantees have been secured and a comprehensive assessment of conditions for safe maritime movement has been completed.
An IMO spokesperson said that contact with ships has already begun to initiate the evacuation process, aiming to complete the operation in a coordinated and secure manner.
