LAHORE (Sports Desk): Pakistan’s veterans team suffered a heavy defeat against the Netherlands in their opening match of the Masters Hockey World Cup.
In the over-60 category, the Netherlands defeated Pakistan 10-0, while the Pakistani team comprising former Olympians failed to score a single goal.
Pakistan’s squad includes Olympians Shahbaz Senior, Tariq Sheikh, Khalid Hameed, and other former players.
Group D includes Pakistan, the Netherlands, Wales, and Ireland.
Pakistan’s veterans team will play their second match against Ireland on August 9, followed by a match against Wales on August 11.
