Pakistan and Lebanon agree to enhance defence cooperation after high-level military meeting

Rawalpindi (Pakistan Desk): Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir met with Lebanese Army Chief General Rodolph Haykal at General Headquarters (GHQ), where both sides discussed expanding bilateral defence cooperation and matters of mutual interest.

According to the ISPR, upon arrival at GHQ, the Lebanese Army Chief was presented a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of the armed forces.

During the meeting, discussions focused on regional peace and stability, strengthening military cooperation, and enhancing professional ties between the armed forces of both countries.

Field Marshal Asim Munir described Pakistan’s long-standing and friendly relations with Lebanon as important and expressed commitment to expanding defence collaboration.

The Lebanese Army Chief appreciated the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and their role in international peacekeeping missions.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen Pakistan–Lebanon military relations to promote regional peace and stability.
