Lahore (Sports Desk): The Pakistan hockey team will be without key forward Rana Waheed Ashraf in today’s match against China.
The tournament administration and Asian Hockey Federation have suspended Rana Waheed Ashraf for one match, preventing him from playing against China.
According to sources, Rana Waheed Ashraf’s hockey stick struck an opposing player on the head during the match against Uzbekistan, causing an injury, for which he was handed a one-match suspension.
Rana Waheed Ashraf is an important player in Pakistan’s forward line, and his absence is being considered a major setback for the national team in the match against China.
Pakistan has played two matches so far at the Asian Games, defeating Thailand 9-0 and Uzbekistan 5-1.
