LAHORE (Sports Desk): Pakistan’s Test squad has departed for England after completing its series against the West Indies, where the national team will play three Test matches against the hosts.
The first Test will begin on August 19, while before that, Pakistan will play a four-day warm-up match against a Select XI.
The England and Wales Cricket Board has already announced a 16-member squad for the first two Tests, led by experienced batter Joe Root. The squad includes Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Shoaib Bashir, Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, Sam Cook, Jordan Cox, Ben Duckett, Matthew Fisher, Emilio Gay, Ollie Robinson, Dan Lawrence, Ollie Pope, Jamie Smith, and Josh Tongue.
It may be recalled that Pakistan defeated the West Indies by eight wickets in the second Test to level the two-match series 1-1.
