President Zardari Pays Tribute to Services of Women Diplomats

Islamabad (Pakistan News): President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has paid tribute to the services of women diplomats on the occasion of International Day of Women Diplomats.

In his message, he said that women diplomats are effectively presenting Pakistan’s stance on various international platforms, including the United Nations, and are playing an important role in promoting peace, dialogue, and international cooperation.

President Zardari said that Pakistan has a proud tradition of women’s diplomatic services, in which personalities like Begum Ra’ana Liaquat Ali Khan and Shaista Ikramullah elevated the country’s prestige at the global level. He added that the late Benazir Bhutto also strengthened Pakistan’s international relations.

He further stated that Pakistani women are serving in prominent positions such as ambassadors and permanent representatives, and their responsibilities have increased in the current global environment.

According to the President, the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal rights and legal protection to both men and women, and women diplomats are enhancing the country’s international standing.

He also said that Pakistan remains committed to promoting serious, dignified, and meaningful diplomatic relations with the world.
