Karachi (Commerce Desk): The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan has approved various important measures to further improve Pakistan’s Business Ready ranking.
According to SECP, Pakistan ranks 17th among 101 economies in the Business Entry category, while the country’s score in this category is 86.64. Information regarding the registration of companies and subsequent changes is being provided to the FBR through an automated system.
SECP, FBR, and the Board of Investment will cooperate in exchanging additional information, while a link to information regarding environmental requirements and various permits will also be provided on the SECP website.
SECP said that details of government support programs for small and medium-sized businesses and women entrepreneurs have also been provided on the website. In addition, gender-based statistics regarding newly registered companies have been released.
The released statistics include details of male and female shareholders, directors, chief executives, and beneficial owners. SECP will also prepare and publish additional gender-based datasets regarding company directors and beneficial owners.
