California (Web Desk): Fourteen artificial intelligence models have expressed interesting opinions about human behaviour and thinking, suggesting that people’s practical decisions are not always as logical as they believe themselves to be, despite considering themselves intelligent and principled.
According to research organisation Model Compare, the study included models developed by 10 AI laboratories across 3 countries. They were asked to share their unfiltered opinions about humans.
The findings revealed that most AI models believe people often give greater importance to their own groups, social affiliations and the approval of others than to truth and independent thinking.
Some models said that people tend to support their own groups rather than stand by the truth, while they try to prove themselves right instead of admitting their mistakes.
Some AI models also observed that people are more concerned about appearing to be good than actually being good, and often label decisions made in their own interests as matters of principle.
