Washington (Monitoring Desk): US President Donald Trump has said that Iran's leadership has been wiped out, leaving him unsure whom to negotiate with. However, he maintained that the absence of leadership would not pose a major problem in negotiations.
In a radio interview, Trump said the United States had not started the war with Iran, claiming that the Iranian leadership had launched a war against America in 1979.
The US president said Washington wanted assurances from Iran that it would never develop nuclear weapons. He remarked that if Iran possessed nuclear weapons, he would address it as "sir", but said he was not going to refer to Iran in that manner.
