Islamabad (Pakistan News): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has described the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement reached between Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia as a major milestone, saying it reflects their shared capabilities and commitment to regional peace and stability.
Addressing a ceremony marking the 103rd anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye, the prime minister congratulated President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Turkish government and people on their national day.
Shehbaz Sharif said Türkiye’s support during Indian aggression had encouraged the people of Pakistan and would always be remembered.
He said that under the wise leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye had emerged as a strong global power and secured a prominent position in the development of its economy, defence technology and modern infrastructure.
The prime minister described the friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye as historic and everlasting.
