Quetta (Pakistan News) Talks over the sit-in near BA Mall in Quetta have been successful, following which the protest committee and families of the victims announced an end to the protest on the request of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti arrived at the protest site, accompanied by Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, Senator Manzoor Kakar and Quetta Commissioner Shahzaib Kakar. Negotiations with the protest committee were held under the leadership of Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar.
During the meeting, Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that he had remained in contact with the protest committee from the first day and would continue to stand with the people in the future. He said his relationship with the people and their elders is based on a strong bond that will always remain.
The Chief Minister of Balochistan said that if any mistake was made by the government, it would be acknowledged and rectified. He assured that as the Chief Minister of Balochistan and Chief of Bugti, he was committed to implementing all promises he had made.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced that financial assistance, government jobs and educational facilities for the children of the victims’ families would be provided.
He said that important decisions were taken in the presence of the Prime Minister and Field Marshal, and the government would fully implement them. The Chief Minister also expressed his resolve that strict action would be taken against those attempting to harm the state and Balochistan.
He declared the participants of the sit-in as patriotic citizens and said they had foiled conspiracies against the country and Balochistan. He added that the government and people would continue working together for peace, development and stability in the province.
