Lahore (Showbiz Desk): Renowned Pakistani stage actor Iftikhar Thakur has advised artists associated with stage performances to quit working on stage and focus on their spiritual lives.
Iftikhar Thakur has been associated with the showbiz industry for the past four decades and worked extensively on Punjabi stage for a long time. However, he now appears mostly on television.
During his long artistic career, he has closely witnessed the rise and fall of stage artists, as well as their financial difficulties and other problems.
Iftikhar Thakur says that artists should stop working on stage because religion does not permit vulgarity and indecent conversation, while such content is being presented on stage.
The actor said that Dr. Israr Ahmed had also discussed this matter, therefore, artists should leave the stage and focus on their spiritual lives.
Addressing artists, he said they should turn toward Allah, because a person who distances himself from Allah and His Messenger (PBUH) is deprived of Allah’s mercy and will then be raised alongside the hypocrites of Makkah.
