Mumbai (Showbiz Desk): Bollywood actor Imran Khan is once again set to return to the big screen after a gap of nearly a decade. The actor confirmed his comeback through his new film, bringing good news to his fans.
The 43-year-old Imran Khan last acted in Katti Batti with Kangana Ranaut in 2015, after which he stepped away from film activities. He will now play the lead role in the romantic comedy Adhoore Hum, Adhoore Tum, directed by Danish Aslam.
Imran Khan has remained popular among audiences for his performances in romantic comedy films. He says the new film is a conscious effort to address some of the stories and emotions that he feels are missing from contemporary films.
According to the actor, Adhoore Hum, Adhoore Tum is a mature romantic comedy that will explore themes and emotions that, in his view, are sometimes overlooked in today’s films.
Imran Khan told fans that if they enjoyed his previous romantic comedies, they would definitely enjoy the new film as well. Referring to I Hate Luv Storys, Break Ke Baad, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, he said the film arriving after 10 years would also be special for viewers who enjoyed a combination of these movies.
Actress Bhumi Pednekar will also appear opposite Imran Khan in a lead role. The film is currently in the final stages of production and is expected to be released on Netflix toward the end of 2026.
